T the Seychelles THE SEYCHELLES ARE AS REMOTE AS IT GETS. DESROCHES & ALPHONSE Located in the Indian Ocean, the 115-island country is almost a thousand miles east of mainland Africa and six hundred miles north of Madagascar. Coming in from the states requires a trip across the Atlantic followed by a ten-hour fight to the capital city of Victoria on Mahé Island and then a 50-minute charter to the islands of Desroches or Alphonse.
